Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Financial Services Tax Practice Lead to join their dynamic team. Position Responsibilities:Provide clients a variety of tax compliance, consulting, planning strategies and research services to a diverse group of partnerships, investment advisors and high net worth clients primarily within the alternative asset investment spaceConduct day-to-day management of accounts by delivering tax consulting services to the client and bringing in specialists when necessary; perform a high-level of tax research and work on financial statement provisions and related tax disclosures and federal and relevant state returns, excise calculations Motivate, mentor, supervise, and train new and experienced-level Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors; begin taking on lead client contact roles on engagementsBusiness DevelopmentQualifications:Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week8+ years' experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returnsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field Recent xperience in a Professional Services environmentDemonstrated advanced understanding of financial products and book to tax adjustmentsProven understanding of Subchapter K and investment partnership taxation Strong managerial experience with budgets, people and projects Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skillsSelf-starter and demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple, competing prioritiesExperience working in a fast-paced, team environmentAbility to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work and the clients and industries/sectors servedOne of the following active accreditations obtained: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA or Licensed Attorney (if not CPA eligible)$135,000 - $320,000 a yearThe salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range.
