ACADEMIC PEDIATRIC OTOLARYNGOLOGIST

The University of Iowa, Department of Otolaryngology, is seeking faculty for a position in our Pediatric Otolaryngology Division. The appointment may be at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level and is available on either the tenure track or clinical (non-tenure) track, depending on clinical experience and research interests.

Founded in 1922, the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is one of the oldest and most comprehensive in the world. Our department is situated in the largest university-owned teaching hospital in the United States. For nearly two decades, U.S. News & World Report ranked our otolaryngology department among the top in the country. However, more than rankings, we take pride in our commitment to the highest standards of patient care. Our department strikes a balance between clinical practice, training, and research, ensuring a compassionate and thorough approach to patient care.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree (or foreign graduate equivalent)
  • Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Iowa
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Otolaryngology
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Otolaryngology
  • Board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and eligible to hold an appointment in the Veterans Affairs Health Care System
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in the VA Health Care System
