We’ll enable growth and progress together.Job Overview:The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework. Specifically this role will coordinate with Cyber Security and CISS for implementing security requirements for Middleware logs, security policies.Responsibilities:Strong Middleware Application Server and Web Server knowledge. Experience with at least two of following products: IBM WebSphere ND/Liberty, Oracle WebLogic, Tomcat IBM HTTP Server, Oracle HTTP Server, Apache Web Server, NginxProficiency in product engineering and administration, application development and design patternsSolid experience of working closely with Middleware engineers, application architects, development teams and operation hosting teamsIn-depth understanding of JEE application security and SSL certificatesStrong background in dealing with application development teams and 3rd party vendorsUnix/Linux Operating System background with shall scripting requiredProficiency in scripting and task automation, especially Python, Jason, YAMLPrevious experience with authentication using Siteminder (SSO) is a plusHand-on experience with Ansible, Kubernetes, OpenShift DockerExperience with Amazon AWS and Google CloudProficiency in debugging, analytical, problem solving, and excellent communication skillsExperience with Git/Bitbucket usage, and CICD buildStrong understanding of software development life cycleExperience with automation tools for Middleware and application Quality AssuranceProficiency with SQL queries and database technologies such as OracleExperience with MongoDBExperience developing REST APIsQualifications:At least 6 years of relevant experience in an Engineering roleProject Management experience is desiredConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationComprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practicesDemonstrated analytic/diagnostic skillsAbility to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teamsAbility to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiativeAbility to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirementsProven track record of operational process change and improvementAbility to work with virtual / in-person teams, and work under pressure / to a deadlineExperience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferredEffective written and verbal communication skillsEffective analytic/diagnostic skillsAbility to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audienceEducation:Bachelor’s/Masters degree or equivalent work experienceAdditional information may be found at | Twitter: @Citi | YouTube: | Blog: | Facebook: | LinkedIn: .------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Technology------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Infrastructure------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:Irving Texas United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$125,760.00 - $188,640.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
