Crozer Health, a community-focused healthcare system delivers client-centered, quality care in an efficient, cost-effective and caring manner, meeting the health needs demonstrated by our community.  This location is less than a 20-minute drive to Philadelphia, a 90-minute drive north to New York City, 90 minutes east to historical Lancaster County, and less than two hours to the beautiful New Jersey or Delaware shores.  Our team is seeking a compassionate and dedicated psychiatrist to join the team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment for individuals dealing with various mental health conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients in our community based behavioral health clinic located in Upland, PA. 

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry.
  • Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and treatments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • License to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and evidence-based practices.
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as needed, monitoring client responses and adjusting treatment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with others including family (when appropriate), healthcare professionals, social workers and case managers in the clinic setting.
  • Stay current with advancements in psychiatric practices and research.
  • Participate in case conferences, clinical supervision, and staff meetings when appropriate.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in acute psychiatric distress.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all client interactions.
