Electronics Assembler performs any combination of the following tasks to assemble components, sub-assemblies and finished products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reads work orders, follows assembly documentation, sample assemblies or verbal instructions.
- Positions and aligns electronic components such as resistors and sockets onto printed circuit boards for soldering.
- Crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, solders, cements, press fits to join or secure parts in place using fixtures, hand tools or power tools.
- Connects and routes wires or wiring harnesses to printed circuit boards or other connectors, terminals and contact point using soldering procedures.
- Preassembly tasks such as wire stripping/tinning, potting, encapsulating, epoxy bonding, curing, sanding, drilling, milling and cleaning.
- Attaches all related hardware to assemblies.
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in enclosures.
- Operate machines that press, shape or wind assemblies.
- Performs testing and inspections using magnifying devices, measuring instruments or electronic test equipment to ensure assemblies meet production specification and standards.
- Reports any defects to supervisor.
- Maintains clean and safe work environment.
- Good dexterity and eyesight.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Two (2) Years in Electronics Assembly
