Fabricator Welder & Fabricator Lead
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fabricator Lead to take charge of our fabrication team. The Fabricator Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the fabrication department, provide guidance to team members, and ensure that projects are completed efficiently and with the highest quality standards.
Shift: 4:00pm - 3:00am Monday - Thursday

Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of fabricators, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
- Project Coordination: Plan and coordinate fabrication projects, assign tasks to team members, and ensure that workflow is efficient and organized.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of fabricated products at various stages of production, conducting inspections and making necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.
- Training and Development: Train new fabricators and provide ongoing training to existing team members to improve skills and efficiency.
- Resource Management: Manage materials, equipment, and resources efficiently to minimize waste and reduce production costs.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, conducting safety training and addressing safety concerns.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues or defects in fabricated products, collaborating with team members to find solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain records of materials used, work performed, and time spent on each project, ensuring accurate documentation for tracking and reporting.
- Communication: Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate interpretation of blueprints and project specifications.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and cohesive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Fabricator with leadership or supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and objects.
- Vocational or technical training in welding or fabrication.
- Certification in welding or fabrication techniques.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Fabricator Leads may work in manufacturing facilities, workshops, or construction sites.
- The job may require standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Safety gear and protective equipment must be worn as needed.
