Our client, an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of pre-engineered premium steel products, is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and at least 1 year of real-world fitting work experience, or completion of a fabrication program. To be successful in this role, the Welder/Fabricator must be reliable and punctual, have a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality. In your first two months, you will be trained in basic fitting techniques as well as complex components and safety protocols, followed by testing and certification.

Day-to-Day as our Welder/Fabricator:
- Upon achieving certification, perform fitting operations based on project requirements.
- Process a minimum of 6 pieces in an 8-hour day (¾ of a piece/ hour).
- Analyze, read, and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components.
- Secure the appropriate parts according to blueprints by tacking and/or welding.
- Maintain fitting equipment and tools in good working order, performing regular inspections and preventive maintenance as required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure they meet specified standards and tolerances, making adjustments as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Properly handle and store materials, ensuring they are organized and accessible for tasks.
- Work closely with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to complete projects on time and to specification.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the fitting process.
- Consistent and reliable attendance.
- At least 1 year of real-world fitting work experience or completion of fabrication program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in tape measure and blueprint reading.
- Knowledge in GMAW, Oxy-Acetylene torch cutting, plasma cutting.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Day Shift 5am-2:30pm M-F | $23 p/hr
Swing Shift 2pm-12:30am M-F (every 3rd Friday off) | $23 p/hr plus $2 p/hr differential
