Job Summary: As an Audit Manager at Abacus!, you will lead and manage our audit engagements, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the audit process, managing client relationships, and contributing to the growth and success of our firm
Required Qualifications and Skills
Essential Functions:
Audit Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and execute audit engagements in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance and direction to audit teams, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and timely completion of projects. Review workpapers, financial statements, and other audit documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Client Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business operations and financial reporting requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication, addressing concerns, and providing strategic insights to enhance their financial processes.
Team Development: Mentor and develop audit staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor internal control systems to safeguard the integrity of audit processes and deliverables. Stay abreast of industry trends, accounting regulations, and changes in auditing standards to ensure continuous improvement in audit methodologies.
Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with audit engagements, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks and uphold the firm's reputation.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred
- CPA required
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in auditing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Well organized with good time management and multi-tasking skills
- Works well in a team environment and ability to maintain positive relationships with work teams and customers/clients
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience using accounting and audit softwares.
- Ability to work and think independently
- Must be able to develop working knowledge of in-house software packages.
- Pass a CJIS background check
