Position Summary:

We are looking for a Branch Operations Manager - Roanoke in Roanoke, WV.

Manage and lead the company's field operations and provide oversight and leadership of assigned personnel in branch(es). Develop and own the supporting management system/playbook and execution of the annual business plan for your assigned branch(es).

Cooperatively and effectively work with management and other company leaders to build an aggressive business growth strategy and lead a team of professionals in executing established and approved branch(es) goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the creation and buildout of the annual business plan, forecast, and budget for the KSS service and operations branch(es), including revenue and operational forecasts for assigned branch(es).
  • Establish, communicate, and monitor achievement of specific objectives in alignment with the developed and approved service plans.
  • Maintain ongoing positive communication and coordination of identified objectives in alignment with other KSS Branch Operations Managers, Regional Operations Managers, KSS Regional Sales Managers, KSS Director of Specialty Products, and other stakeholders to collaboratively work to develop achievable growth plans for KSS products and services.
  • Partner with KSS Regional Sales Managers and Branch Sales Representatives to plan and coordinate strategies and plans for the effective execution of programs to grow service sales, grow and support sales programs and initiatives, and deliver effective service and support to our customers.
  • Partner with KSS Director of Specialty Products to grow specialty product sales in the region and to establish and coordinate strategies and plans for effective installation and proper customer support of KSS Specialty Products through the branch(es).
  • Work collaboratively with both AEH and KSS management in designing and developing standardized systems, processes, and supporting tools for KSS branch operations.
  • Continue to improve customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes and the establishment of efficient internal processes. Review, analyze, and evaluate business procedures, and implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day branch(es) operations.
  • Develop and manage an operations team for your branch(es) through recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and support efforts, including cooperative interaction and support activities with the AEH recruiting and HR personnel.
  • Lead Services business reviews to assess, validate, and course correct plan versus actual performance related to your branch(es) service operations.
  • Oversee the creation, proposal, pricing, and other terms and conditions of service contracts, agreements, and other binding deals for your assigned branch(es) to ensure they are executable, minimize liability to the company, are compliant with corporate guidelines, and achieve company sales and margin targets.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage all related training, coaching, and other skills and performance management programs, courses, and events to keep branch(es) operations staff current with skill standards and procedures, and to ensure they meet/exceed monthly performance goals.
  • Participate in the creation/development of reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and other key performance measures and targets to help ensure branch(es) achieve goals, and by which the efficiency and effectiveness of operations can be evaluated, opportunities for improvement can be identified, corrective actions can be established, industry best practices and continuous improvement of customer satisfaction can be upheld.
  • Provide guidance and direction to business systems staff to ensure corporate CRM/ERP systems meet process needs.
  • When needed, lead or assign problem solving activities to find root cause of operating problems and create and deploy effective countermeasures within the branch(es).
  • Collaborate with the sales department marketing group to develop effective marketing programs and collateral to support activities of the service operations to achieve identified goals.
  • Participate in company-wide program for service operations, in alignment and coordination with key KSS and AEH management, to support consistent and stable service sales execution by all sellers.
  • When needed, assist with acquisition evaluation and due diligence efforts for expansion opportunities and participate in business integration efforts as applicable.
  • Communicate and explain new directives, policies, or procedures to branch(es) service personnel and other operations staff when needed.
  • Responsible for ISO17025 and other compliance initiatives and requirements applicable for branch(es) operations.
  • Work collaboratively with the safety management team to ensure all branch(es) personnel are meeting company safety program requirements as well as all work environments are adequate and safe within your region. This also includes meeting company established safety goals within the branch(es).
  • Manage proper facility maintenance and when applicable, participate in any lease negotiations/contracts for facilities.
  • Meet or exceed established Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) goal or any other required safety standards for the region.
  • Ensure timely appraisals for all employees within the branch(es).
  • Ensure all technicians actively participate in and progress through the Kanawha Scales Technician Training Program in a timely manner.
Key Deliverables
  • An annual plan for branch(es) service operations capable of delivering strategic revenue target for assigned branch(es); tracked via Company's ERP system
  • Meet or exceed billable time goal of 75%+ average for all technicians in assigned branch(es); tracked via Company's ERP system.
  • Meet or exceed Safety Score goal of no recordable incidents
  • Meet or exceed ISO goal of no past due open Continuous Improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Operations Management experience, or a related field experienced preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manager role, preferably in an equipment or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and shop management software.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in a shop environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.

This is a full-time onsite position; 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel.
