The Electrical Purchasing (Procurement) Negotiator will play a pivotal role in securing essential electrical equipment and materials for CleanSpark's construction and engineering projects. This role involves negotiating and coordinating procurement activities to ensure that the construction and engineering teams have reliable, high-quality, and cost-effective resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing or procurement, particularly within the electrical or construction industry, as well as demonstrated negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

    • Vendor Sourcing & Relationship Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers of electrical components, ensuring that CleanSpark's procurement needs are met on time and within budget.
    • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards, that align with CleanSpark's goals.
    • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed on pricing trends, availability of materials, and emerging suppliers within the electrical and construction industry.
    • Purchase Order Management: Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring that requisitions meet CleanSpark's project specifications and requirements.
    • Budget Management: Collaborate with the finance team to monitor and manage budgets for procurement activities, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process efficiency.
    • Quality Assurance: Work with the quality control team to ensure all procured materials meet CleanSpark's quality and safety standards. Address any discrepancies or issues with suppliers as they arise.
    • Inventory Coordination: Coordinate with inventory managers to maintain appropriate stock levels of critical materials and electrical components, avoiding supply disruptions to construction and engineering projects.
    • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure procurement processes adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of all contracts, purchase orders, and communications with suppliers.
Qualifications
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CPP) is a plus.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the electrical, construction, or engineering industries. Proven experience in negotiation and contract management.
    • Technical Skills: Familiarity with electrical components, construction materials, and industry-specific procurement processes. Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement software is beneficial.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess pricing trends, supplier reliability, and market conditions to make data-driven procurement decisions.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of negotiating effectively and maintaining positive supplier relationships.
    • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive problem solver, able to address supply chain disruptions and quality issues with urgency and professionalism.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to travel as needed to vendor sites, supplier facilities, and CleanSpark project locations.
