Description

My client is seeking Experienced Estimators with a strong background in multifamily projects to join their team in and Richmond, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to elevate their careers with a larger, growth-focused company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate cost estimates for multifamily projects valued between $10M and $50M, with some projects exceeding $200M.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and estimates.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Conduct value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project handoffs to ensure a seamless transition to the construction phase.
  • Work closely with project managers and leadership to align estimates with project objectives.
  • Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing records to ensure accurate forecasting.

Profile

The Perfect Candidate:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of estimating experience with a general contractor, with a strong emphasis on multifamily projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to Detail: Precise, thorough, and highly organized, ensuring the accuracy of all estimates.
  • Adaptability: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
