Infrastructure Engineering is a high performing team to join! We architect, design, build, test and deploy agile and cost-effective Network, Workplace and Service Management solutions leveraging Cloud and as-a-Service based approaches. We implement scalable, high-performance solutions that meet the need of today's corporate and digital applications using cloud infrastructure technologies and software defined infrastructure. We develop and deliver legacy infrastructure transformation (including operating model) and migration to drive next-generation business outcomes

Key Responsibilities:
- The Onsite Manager is responsible for supporting a successful delivery of the network devices being deployed into various mine areas in the Jansen location.
- The role will require planning, overseeing the installation, commissioning, testing, and handover for the network deployments across the mine areas.
- Manage the deployment as one would a project with relevant Microsoft tools (MS Project, MS Excel)
- Apply their network background and technical skills and experience to support to quickly assess and rectify any onsite risks / issues / challenges and help build trusted relationships with our clients and senior site stakeholders.
- Oversee a team of network device installers and cabling technicians in completing their defined tasks - overseeing includes tracking progress, quality of work, and planning activities in the days ahead and reporting to leadership and client stakeholders
- Work with Accenture's offshore financial and project management office to manage the financials and commercials of the project
Mandatory Qualifications
- Must be able to work onsite at BHP Jasen Mine located approximately 2 hours from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
- 3 months+ onsite job experience working in a mining site/ industrial site having to deal with Health, Safety and Environmental reporting
- Current Cisco CCNA certification or better.
- Technical knowledge and strong network background
- Able to carry up to a maximum of 50lbs network device
- Comfortable working in remote locations
- Operate/drive a vehicle (must hold a driver's license)
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications, mainly PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Microsoft Project
- Attend and pass all required site safety, awareness related BHP mandated training and testing
- Good interpersonal communication skills with both onshore/ onsite resources and working with offshore India based remote resources
- Flexible work hours to accommodate calls with offshore teams in India on an infrequent basis (once a week)
- Through understanding of key routing and switching concepts (such as but not limited to trunking, ether-channel, BGP, IS-IS, L2 Security Concepts)
- Demonstrated understanding of Network Security best practices
- 1-2 years of demonstrated experience with two or more of the following with the following concepts/technologies: DDI, Virtualization, SD-WAN, SD-Access, WLAN administration, SASE, Firewall Technologies, Campus Networking, or SD-DC
- Strong written and verbal communications with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a nontechnical audience
Nice to have:
- 1+ year onsite onsite job experience working in a mining site/ industrial site having to deal with Health, Safety and Environmental reporting
- Technical or engineering related formal education but not essential
