Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

The Swift Group is looking for a Information Systems Security Engineer to provide direct support to establishing and maintaining enclave and network accreditation and special approval authorizations, as required, for all networked and stand-alone information systems (IS), using Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies, such as the use of NIST or CNSS standards for security certification assessment and testing related to ICD-503 controls using CNSS 1253 controls, and other USG guidance. They will also manage cyber risk with compliance automation, continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization. Leverage enterprise solution for cyber risk management and compliance automation. This position is located onsite in Chantilly, VA.

Job Responsibilities:
  • System testing and conditioning to minimize security risk
  • Acts as an information security liaison to various business units
  • Perform day-to-day administration of the Information Systems Security program and understanding the security design, consultation, and technology implementation for various customer projects and initiatives
  • Communicate technical information and security systems information orally, in writing, and interpersonally to various customers/audiences
  • Deploy a complete DevOps lifecycle including, integration of build pipelines, automated deployments and compliance scanning using test driven development
  • Perform systems analysis & integrations, requirements analysis, process definition and implementation, and project management
  • Providing direct support to establishing and maintaining enclave and network accreditation and special approval authorizations, as required, for all networked and stand-alone information systems (IS), using
    Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies, such as the use of NIST or CNSS standards for security certification assessment and testing related to ICD-503 controls using CNSS 1253 controls, and other USG guidance

Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to perform day-to-day administration of the Information Systems Security program and understanding the security design, consultation, and technology implementation for various customer projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to perform systems analysis & integrations, requirements analysis, process definition and implementation, and project management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in assisting system users relative to information systems security matters and undertakes moderately complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of providing direct support to establishing and maintaining enclave and network accreditation and special approval authorizations, as required, for all networked and stand-alone information systems (IS), using Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies, such as the use of NIST or CNSS standards for security certification assessment and testing related to ICD-503 controls using CNSS 1253 controls, and other USG guidance.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in XACTA 360. The enterprise solution for cyber risk management and compliance automation. Manage cyber risk with compliance automation, continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively understand and communicate orally, in writing, and interpersonally to various customers/audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals
  • Demonstrated experience deploying the complete DevOps lifecycle including, integration of build pipelines, automated deployments and compliance scanning using test driven development
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired skills:
  • Demonstrated experience defining and architecting end-to-end data flow architecture and data management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying, configuring or architecting virtualization or cloud-based solutions.
