We currently have an opening at our location in Saint John, New Brunswick for a Business Manager. The successful candidate will be reporting to the General Manager and serving as a member of the leadership team. This position's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's financial functions and contributing to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.

We currently have an opening at our location in Saint John, New Brunswick for a Business Manager. The successful candidate will be reporting to the General Manager and serving as a member of the leadership team. This position's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's financial functions and contributing to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the annual operating budget, goals and objectives for each department and monitoring the departments' performance.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals. Oversee short and long-term financial and managerial reporting.
- Engaging with analytics team to improve operational performance by developing tools to enhance dashboards and daily management tools.
- Working with the continuous improvement group to link initiatives to business requirements.
- Participation and involvement in growth initiatives.
- Working with department staff to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Creating and maintaining a positive relationship with customers, ensuring that department staff is helpful, as well as making customer satisfaction a priority to ensure referral and repeat business.
- Proactively identifies growth opportunities and business optimization initiatives to deliver topline and bottom-line value
Requirements:
- Education Required: Bachelors Degree
- Years of experience required: 5-10+ years' experience in related field.
- Self starter, results oriented, and the ability to act with high sense of urgency
- Strong finance and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Demonstrate ability to energize, empower and engage team to get results.
- Works well in a team and ability to deal with conflict and adversity when leading teams through change.
- Must demonstrate ability to organize and more importantly prioritize. Experience with project management tools and processes.
- Strong skills in management, communication, negotiation and problem solving.
- Must have demonstrated results for effective execution and influence
