A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

A day in the life of an O&M Resource Project Manager involves coordinating with multiple teams, both locally and remotely, to ensure the seamless operation of various plants across North and South America! You'll review system performance, address any emerging maintenance or operational issues, and lead project meetings to advance CMMS/EAM implementations. Collaboration with engineering, procurement, and EHS teams will be key as you ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Throughout the day, you'll balance project execution with hands-on support for ongoing plant operations, ensuring efficiency and reliability targets are met!

How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
  • Lead the implementation of strategic software applications (CMMS) such as Siemens-Energy Omnivise, IBM MAXIMO, and IFS Ultimo, managing internal teams and contractors to position as a CMMS service provider.
  • Own and coordinate the Asset List production process, specializing in KKS and P&ID protocols for CMMS/EAM tool integration.
  • Drive new service business proposals with an entrepreneurial approach and proactively manage interfaces with engineering groups to resolve operational issues at O&M facilities.
  • Serve as the O&M department expert for the purchasing and PO process, ensuring internal and external compliance.
  • Coordinate and support the use of Siemens tools (PCM, SAP, WRIT, FFP, etc.) to document and record process changes.
  • Oversee documentation systems, maintaining both legacy and new systems for accessible use by the group, and own the spare part strategy for O&M contracts.
What You Bring (requirements)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a complex business environment, with a deep understanding of Combined Cycle Power Plant operations, maintenance management, and plant engineering processes.
  • Proven experience leading teams in the implementation of new process tools and IT systems.
  • Strong leadership abilities in multi-functional environments.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
  • The position requires extended working hours, varied shifts, and weekend/holiday work depending on plant needs.
  • 25% travel, including onsite presence during outages, special projects, and customer meetings, often with short notice.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
