The Leidos DES (Defense Enclave Services) team is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and is currently seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect at our customer at Ft. Meade, MD.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Leidos is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, who will lead an extensive digital modernization activity that will optimize and scale the DoD Network (DoDNet) within the Azure Cloud. This position will play a key role in directing the technical teams throughout the engineering lifecycle (requirements, design, and implementation) to aide in the building a world-class Single Service Provider for the Department of Defense. This role will set standards and ensure consistent execution across multiple technical engineering teams to implement key services within a cloud environment. A successful candidate will direct a cross-functional technical teams to support the engineering and implementation activities to optimize and scale this environment to ultimately provide common IT services for over twenty large-scale DoD agencies into DoDNet. A successful candidate will be have strong communication skills, technically well-rounded, and produce quality work.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
• Currently possess a DoD Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as the Senior Solution Architect for the cloud-based DoD Network, directing the design, implementation planning, and execution of services
• Plan, track and manage all technical deliverables
• Provide hands-on engineering and technical management for architecture, design, and implementation tasks.
• Track and verify the attainability of technical objectives, evaluate progress toward meeting them.
• Guide multiple technical teams through the engineering lifecycle: work planning, architecture design, implementation and deploy to production.
• Work directly with implementation teams to provide technical guidance and implementation priorities related to legacy systems and cloud implementation.
• Coordinate technical execution of all transformation projects and deconflict Design, develop and implement an Enterprise data management solution to enhance customer operations and move services to native cloud capabilities.
• Provide technical expertise with legacy on-premises software architectures and Cloud Migrations/Cloud-Native Service architectures resources/dependencies
• Direct customer engagements to determine requirements and provide technical updates to customer management.
• Work with DES management and customer to develop and implement an enterprise IT strategy.
• Collaborate with the customer to develop and implement program-wide SLAs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 12+ years of work history; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Experience overseeing multiple, concurrent Jira projects
• Demonstrated ability to successfully complete IT infrastructure projects and work under tight timelines
• Expertise in the Atlassian tool suite, to include JIRA and Confluence
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience with leading migrations of applications and/or systems to the MS Azure
• Experience providing detailed engineering and technical leadership to engineering staff involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks
• History of delivering complex, enterprise solutions with positive results
• Current IAT Level II or higher Certification such as Security + or higher.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years' experience with engineering/architecting enterprise IT solutions in an IT environment similar in size and scope to DoDNet.
• Successfully negotiate and influence others to understand and accept new concepts, practices and approaches.
• Recognized cloud certification, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect, Cloud Certified Professional.

Pay Range: Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
