Develops and maintains plans, policies, and processes for data management, data governance, security, quality, accessibility, use, and disposal.
- Creating and enforcing data policies for effective data management to ensure data is handled efficiently, security, and in compliance with organizational standards.
- Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy.
- Implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis. Ensure procedures that facilitate data handling, storage and analysis to include data integrity and security.
- Assess and establish data sharing rules within the organization and for external sharing.
- Assist users in effectively utilizing data systems, troubleshoot data-related issues, and ensure smooth data operations.
- Monitor and analyze information and data systems, evaluate performance, and identify area for improvement.
- Ensure data security and integrity by planning and implementing safeguards of data against unauthorized access, breaches, or corruption.
Qualifications:
- Recommend bachelor's degree in data management or information technology.
- Requires DoD cyber certification as an IAT level II.
- Varying experience to DoD Cybersecurity Workforce code 424 (data steward).
