Role: Experience Designer, Consultant

Compensation: $90,000-115,000 base + variable bonus

Location: Denver Metro Area

*Please note: This role is not eligiblefor 100% remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of the Denver Metro Area and must be willing to be onsite at the client and/or Slalom Denver office up to 5 days a week.

Who You'll Work With

Our Experience Design Capability Team of UX designers, product designers, experience strategists, and UX researchers are excited to expand our team with an Experience Designer to help enable people's superpowers in a lean, highly driven environment.

What You'll Do

We're looking for makers, collaborators, individuals who breathe design, individuals who always want to make digital experiences just a little bit richer, and rooted in customer experience.
  • Collaborating with clients and internal teams to design differentiated digital experiences for a wide variety of websites, systems, and applications, from desktop to mobile and whatever's next-addressing product design, systems design, service design, high fidelity/interactive prototypes, accessibility, AI-driven experiences, and more.
  • Planning, conducting, and leading client white-boarding, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings.
  • Helping clients better understand their users through structuring and conducting user research and evaluating the usability of designs.
  • Prototyping solutions and iterating against them based on user insights and client feedback while balancing stakeholder and business needs.
  • Focusing on typically one, typically a maximum of two projects at a time to allow full you to fully embed in the delivery and relationship needs of your anchor clients.


What You'll Bring
  • Expert-level proficiency with experience design (XD) and prototyping software and tools, such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Framer, Sketch, and Axure.
  • Well-versed in working closely with development teams, using lean and agile approaches.
  • Breadth of experience along the full spectrum of UX/UI design, from user research to interaction, systems, and visual design.
  • Portfolio of work samples illustrating your design work and original approaches to challenges.
  • 3-6 years of experience design expertise taking ownership, driving understanding, and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Experience creating research plans, personas, and customer journey maps/experience maps.
  • Proficiency in responsive design and mobile/native platform UI/UX, and an aptitude for learning new technologies and a tinkering mentality.

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $90,000 to $115,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
