General Job Description

The Account Executive, Corporate Sales position at equalpride is responsible for generating revenue and exceeding sales quotes within an assigned sales category, developing ongoing relationships, prospecting new opportunities and general thought leadership.

The AE position will collaborate closely with the Corporate Sales team and Brand Partnerships team to generate proposals and close/win deals and opportunities for clients to activate within equalpride platforms. Must be a team player with a can-do attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify, create, and sell through cross-platform, digital/social/branded content/experiential/programmatic, advertiser opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage accounts to which they are assigned.

o Categories: Accessories, Art Galleries, Beauty, Broadway, Consumer Electronics, Dating, Education/University, Fashion (except Dior & LVMH), Footwear, Fragrances, Grooming, Home (except IKEA), Medical/Health, Museums, OTA, Pet Food,

Publishing Real Estate, Retail (except Walmart) and Watches- subject
  • Evaluate specific business categories and marketplace trends to identify prospective accounts, driving equalpride messaging and generating direct sales revenue, digital/social/branded content/experiential/programmatic, for equalpride.
  • Identify and contact decision-makers at both the client and agency levels. • Develop brand positioning and specific recommendations for integrated partnerships that include digital, social, branded content, and experiential activations.
  • Collaborate with Brand Partnerships team to develop integrated solutions for custom programs.
  • Secure and respond to RFPs and develop cross-platform, revenue-generating marketing solutions that meet and exceed client objectives/KPI's.
  • Develop relationships with existing and new clients and their respective digital, social, public relations, programmatic and experiential agencies.
  • Serve accounts with research, reporting, and new first to market opportunities - that fit each brand's marketing objectives.
  • Anticipate client's marketing needs and develop proposals accordingly to drive incremental business.
  • Understand existing and new client KPI's and recommend creative and consultative solutions within the equalpride portfolio
  • Stay up to date on emerging media trends and industry news.
  • Travel and represent equalpride at industry events and conferences

Internal Focus:
• Assist Brand Partnerships and Ad Ops with developing a compelling strategy for equalpride brands and platforms.
• Organize and report revenue via Salesforce platform.
• Prospect clients and share industry trends as relayed by MediaRadar.
• Generate weekly reports and updates re: client and revenue activity.
• Present internal, cross-platform recommendations for sales partnerships.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years national advertising sales experience-digital, mobile, programmatic social media and events.
  • Active and current client + agency contacts for assigned territory.
  • Confident, passionate, and enthusiastic about selling equalpride brands and supporting the LGBTQ+ community, with an entrepreneurial and creative approach to business. • Understand and discuss the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and intersectional representation.
  • Strong, modern, conversational communication skills needed to present to major advertising agencies and clients.
  • Must possess and demonstrate proven prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and customer relationship skills.
  • Solid self-management skills required, understanding how to prioritize multiple tasks and parallel processes across accounts.
  • Be willing to work cross-department as a team member, while also driving direct relationships and owning separate businesses.
  • Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Programs, MRI, comScore, Salesforce, Media Radar, all social platforms, Zoom, Google Meets, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong creative and strategic thinking as well as analytical and time management skills
