In this role, you'll work within a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to the planning and execution of local and international mining projects.

What you can expect to do here:
  • Participate in design reviews of mining projects;
  • Evaluate new technologies, mining methods and mine designs;
  • Analyze data and select mine design parameters;
  • Participate in technical studies on mining projects;
  • Assist in the preparation of bids for underground and open pit mining project evaluations and technical reports (PEA, PFS, FS or other);
  • Collaborate in the design of mines using specialized software such as Deswik;
  • Request budgetary prices for mining equipment or others;
  • Assist project managers as needed;
  • Perform all other related tasks that may help in the realization of the project.

What you'll bring to WSP:
  • Mining Engineer with 6-10yrs experience;
  • Mine Engineering degree from an accredited University;
  • Rigor, sense of initiative, attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Experience with Open Pit Mine Design and Scheduling;
  • Experience with Underground Mine Design considered an asset;
  • Experience with Deswik;
  • Experience in mining operations considered an asset;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Must be flexible to travel.
