The Mission
The Leidos team delivers the core backbone of the Service, Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) program, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Leidos will support network modernization efforts to provide Sailors, Marines and the civilian workforce the tools they need to be more efficient at increasing naval capabilities and further empowering the Navy Marine Corps team to compete and win.
Your Main Objective:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate team activities to manage and implement project and interrelated projects from initiation to final operational stage.
- Determine, monitor, and review all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk.
- Lead the project team in determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans.
- Identify and assemble the appropriate blend of resources to meet project needs and requirements.
- Manage sub-contractors.
- Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project.
- Develop project control and reporting procedures and manage changes in operational plan.
- Undertake status review meetings among project team members and clients.
- Work with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules.
- Coach and advise team members to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical or operational issues.
- Proactively influence customers to apply project planning methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to legally binding requirements.
- Control project requirements, scope, and change management issues.
- Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria.
- Install appropriate automated systems for management of projects.
- Develop, propose, and negotiate project proposals, quotations, and add-ons to leadership and the client.
- Analyze needs and recommend appropriate planning concepts and tools to be used for all facets of planning, scheduling, and tracking projects.
- Analyze project progress/costs and facilitates the development of recommended alternatives.
- Integrate and use project management methodologies.
- Create communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders.
- Advise senior management on project management capability and risk.
What Sets You Apart:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field
- 4 Years of Experience
- Active Secret Clearance
