Technical Program Manager - Hardware

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end product development efforts; guide programs from requirements definition through to validation, certification, ramp-up, and sustaining.
  • Highlight all schedule risks and expectations with our CEO, while running and managing project meetings.
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to track design package releases, ordering, and build status.
  • Work cross-functionally with EE, ME, SW, MFG, and OPS teams to craft and track program schedules and coordinate all deliverables.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet goals. Communicate regularly with key stakeholders on status and risks.
  • Own the build plan and unit allocation leading up to product launches. Coordinate with Engineering, Product Managers, and Supply Chain team members to execute the launch plan.
  • Guide compliance efforts, sustaining work, and post-launch failure analysis efforts.
  • Develop internal processes to improve team efficiency and work quality.
  • Work with the Product team to inform product decisions based on schedule, budget, and engineering resource availability.

Experience
  • 3-5 years experience working in program management on hardware system development.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating builds, orders, BOM costs with CM and vendors both local and overseas.
  • Experience working in a startup environment with fast pace, low volume prototyping and building out longer term scaling plans with manufacturing partners.
  • Experience working with PCBAs, cables and FPCAs, mechanical assemblies, and optical assemblies.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities across projects and remaining lean and flexible in the development process.
  • Experience communicating directly to executive leadership on schedules, risks, and budgets.
