Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH) is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager/Site Safety & Health Officer to join our Herman Construction Group team, a subsidiary of BBCH. Scope of Work:
Replacement of the third-floor roof, elevator machine room, penthouse, roof above the operating room, and roof on the single-story addition of the care center. Scope includes demolition, roof drain replacement, new Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofs, flashing, mechanical equipment removal and reinstallation, electrical removal and reinstallation, and interior finishes.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Working Conditions:
Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.

As QC Manager, your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage and implement the QC Program
- Ensure fulfillment of the Contractor's LEED Coordinator duties, as applicable
- Coordinate with and support the Government's Commissioning Authority
- Attend the partnering meetings, QC Plan Meetings and Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meeting
- Perform submittal review
- Ensure testing is performed and provide QC certifications and documentation required by the Contract
- Manage and coordinate the three phases of control and documentation performed by testing laboratory personnel and any other inspection and testing personnel required by the Contract
- Implement and enforce strict QC policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and USACE EM385-1-1 regulations
- Conduct weekly QC meetings, prepare and submit daily QC reports
- Maintain documentation for QC compliance and Maintain record drawings and specifications
- Identify, record, track and monitor completion of re-work items
As SSHO, your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and site safety orientation, activity-specific training and enforcement for the Contractor
- Conduct daily safety and health inspections, maintain a written log which includes date of inspection, area/operation inspected, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections
- Attach safety inspection logs to the Contractors' daily quality control report
- Maintain the OSHA Form 300 and Daily Production reports for prime and sub-contractors
- Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports
- Maintain applicable safety reference material on the job site
- Attend the pre-construction conference, pre-work meetings including preparatory inspection meeting, and periodic in-progress meetings
- Implement and enforce accepted APP's and AHA's
- Maintain a safety and health deficiency tracking system that monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution, then post a list of unresolved safety and health deficiencies on the site safety bulletin board
- Ensure sub-contractor compliance with safety and health requirements
- Maintain a list of hazardous chemicals on site and their material safety data sheets
Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 Card
- USACE CQM Certification within the last five years
- Five years of experience as a QC/SSHO on similar federal projects
- Experience with Procore and RMS
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF
- As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results
