You Are:The Marketing Strategy Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for federal clients. This role involves leading direct client delivery, driving sales and growth, including developing and refining our offering and capabilities. We are looking for seasoned marketing leader experienced in conducting in-depth audience research, crafting strategic marketing plans, developing brand identity, managing cross-functional workstreams, including overseeing creative and media teams. Candidates should also have experience supporting and advising multiple ongoing programs, have a passion for people development, and be comfortable operating with ambiguity and change.

Client Delivery:
  • Audience Research: Conduct thorough research to understand audiences and analyze demographic, psychographic, and behavioral data to inform marketing strategies and campaign development. Monitor and report on audience trends and insights to continuously refine marketing approaches.
  • Marketing Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic marketing plans that align with federal clients' goals and objectives. Identify key opportunities and challenges within the federal sector to shape effective marketing strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure marketing strategies are integrated with broader organizational and client goals.
  • Brand Identity Enhancement: Develop and maintain a strong brand identity that resonates with federal audiences and aligns with clients' values and mission. Ensure brand messaging and visuals are consistent across all marketing materials and platforms. Drive initiatives to strengthen brand recognition and reputation within the federal sector.
  • Creative and Production Oversight: Provide strategic oversight in partnership with a Creative Director to manage the creative process, including concept development, design, and production of marketing materials. Work with creative teams to ensure high-quality and innovative content that meets strategic objectives and resonates with federal audiences. Manage production timelines and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and events. Develop campaign briefs, set objectives, and measure campaign performance against key metrics. Develop paid media strategies and oversee the media planning and execution of campaigns including digital, social, display, OOH, programmatic, etc. Enhance organic media efforts through SEO, content marketing, and social media strategies to increase visibility and audience reach. Monitor media performance and adjust strategies to improve results and achieve campaign goals. Optimize campaigns based on performance data and feedback to maximize effectiveness and ROI.

Sales & Growth:
  • Industry Expertise and Innovation: Stay ahead of marketing trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Regularly share insights on marketing and media strategies within the AFS Experience practice and broader community.
  • Sales Pipeline and Opportunity Management: Originate or identify, track, and pursue new business opportunities in federal. Work with federal account/portfolios to develop and deliver proposals, new business pitches, and prospective client conversations.
  • People Development: Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on complex marketing challenges and career development. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within project teams.
  • Thought Leadership: publish articles, white papers, and blog posts on relevant marketing topics, demonstrating expertise and establishing AFS's authority in the field.

Capability & Offering Development:
  • Developing Relevant Services and Offerings: Design and develop relevant solutions that align with client needs and market demand. Create detailed plans and frameworks for offerings, including go-to-market strategies, value propositions and supporting marketing material.
  • Building Internal Capabilities: Identify and develop the necessary skills, tools, and resources within the Experience practice to deliver on current and future client engagements. Identify training and development opportunities for team members to build expertise in new offering areas as needed. Work with a cross-functional leadership team across strategy, operations, and technology to bring a One Accenture solution to leading client engagements.

Here's What You Need:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following: marketing, advertising, and/or media campaign management
  • Metro DC based

  • 15+ years of industry experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$131,300-$269,100 USD
