The Opportunity:

The IT Advisor, Corporate Business Relationship Management (BRM) serves as a strategic interface between the IT department and corporate functions teams, ensuring that IT services and solutions align with business goals. The IT Advisor, Corporate BRM is responsible for understanding business needs, driving business initiatives that deliver value, and fostering a strong partnership between IT and the business functions. The BRM will provide on-going support and ensure alignment with the Corporate Function IT Business Partner.

What you can expect to do here:

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with multiples stakeholders across the organization, acting as a trusted advisor on IT-related matters
    • Understand business and IT strategies, goals, and challenges
  • Demand Management
    • Support the management of corporate demands, service escalations and executive engagement
    • Leverage and advocate for the demand management process that captures, evaluates, and prioritizes technology investments from across the organization
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Communicate the value and impact of IT services to business stakeholders, enhancing understanding and support for the business initiatives
  • Requirements Gathering
    • Drive business requirements gathering, documentation and prioritization for each new initiative, translating business needs into high-level requirements
    • Coordinate requirements gathering from every region when applicable
  • Change Management
    • Support change management efforts related to Business initiatives enabled by IT, ensuring smooth transition and high adoption rates
    • Collaborate with Regional IT Business Partners to ensure visibility on global initiatives
  • Governance and Compliance
    • Ensure business initiatives comply with global IT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Performance Management
    • Ensure each business initiatives that gets to the delivery stage have strong business case
    • Support the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) that link IT service delivery and project outcomes with business performance objectives


What you'll bring to WSP:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. Master degree is a plus
  • Experience
    • 5+ of experience in as a BRM or Business Analyst or related Role
  • Skills
    • Proficient in strategic business partnering with a passion for developing relationships
    • Strong customer awareness and a proven track record of ensuring the stakeholder inclusivity
    • Ability to quickly gain the confidence of the business and colleagues through excellent communication and influencing skills
    • Proven experience in IT business relationship management and IT service delivery
    • Strong understanding of IT organisation
    • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of articulating the value of technology investments in terms of business outcomes
    • Experience with project management methodologies
    • Familiarity with IT governance, compliance, and risk management
    • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
    • Ability to build strong business case
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Certifications
    • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or BRMP are preferred
