We are a collaborative mid-sized agency with an immediate opportunity for a Senior Media Strategist to join our growing Corporate team!
This is an excellent growth opportunity for a Senior Media Strategist to lead account teams on earned media relations strategy to elevate our financial services clients. A Senior Media Strategist is the backbone of a successful earned account team--helping to keep us strategic and informed on the latest trends driving the financial services space.

Location: Hybrid (Located in the NYC HUB) 2 Days/Week
What You'll Do:
As the Senior Media Strategist, you are a team lead on running criticalpieces of the business, guiding account teams on media strategy and serving as the client counselor and earned media go-to. The Senior Media Strategist is developing media strategies, overseeing the development of media lists and pitch materials as well as building valuable media relationships that result in client coverage. Your role may also require you to serve as a key member in new business pitches as well as selling projects to clients. On the broader team, we will look for you to share earned media trends and best practices with the larger Corporate team.

We believe that our best work happens in a hybrid working environment. If you are in the NYC (or commutable surrounding distance) hub we want to see you in person 2 days a week. That could mean in our office, in our client's office, on the road with them or attending an industry event.
For those outside the NYC hub, you will be asked to be in person too. Examples of this may include client meetings, events or team meetings. There will also be in person opportunities for you to connect with others who live in your hub to collaborate and work together.

- Responsible for team deliverables and client communication related to earned media
- Set earned media performance standards and KPIs for client projects
- Supervise and direct account teams on media strategy and execution
- Serves as a problem solver for the team and confident, strategic voice for the client
- Drive significant media relations activities, jumping in from a strategic perspective
- Maintain strong media connections in financial services and business
- Serve as the strategic earned media voice in client calls and meetingsActively participate in new business activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4-5 Years of experience working in-house or at an agency
- Experience managing a team of direct reports
- Fintech and/or financial service experience with strong expertise of industry and business media
- B2B and corporate storytelling experience and interest
