Facility in Hartford, CT seeking Cardiology locums coverage Rates: $350/hr Facility is seeking a Locum Non-Invasive Cardiologist for inpatient coverage. Below are the key details for this opportunity: Position Details: * Schedule: 7 on/7 off * Inpatient Coverage Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM in the hospital * Unrestricted Call: 5 PM - 8 AM (from hotel) * Support: Inpatient APP support overnight; the physician takes first call * Testing Procedures: Non-invasive testing, including nuclear stress tests and TEE during the 8 AM - 5 PM shift * Reason for Coverage: Gaps due to retirements and resignations * Dates of Coverage: 9 months Call Information: * Call Schedule: 7 on/7 off (inpatient coverage from 8 AM - 5 PM, then unrestricted call from 5 PM - 8 AM) * APP and Fellow Support: Yes, fellows and APPs will assist with calls, but the MD takes the first call * Average Number of Admissions per Day: Consults only, varies significantly with APP and fellow support; approximately 25-40 * Number of Beds Covered by Locum: 25-40 with APP and fellow support * ICU Beds Covered: 1-10 with fellow support Facility Information: * Trauma Level: Level 1 * Total Number of Beds: 600 * ICU Beds: 42 * Cardiologist Group Size: 12 total; 7 are non-invasive * Supervision Responsibilities: APP and Cardiology Fellows * EMR: Epic Required Procedures: * Echocardiography * Transesophageal Echocardiography * Electrical Cardioversions * Electrocardiograms (EKGs) * Treadmill Stress Tests * Chemical Stress Tests Requirements: * Board Certified/Board Eligible - Required * CT License - Required * ACLS Certification - Required Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced cardiologist to provide essential coverage in a well-supported environment with the possibility for professional growth.
