Surgery - General Physician

A hospital in northern Vermont is looking for a highly skilled and dedicated full-time General Surgeon to join its esteemed practice. About the opportunity: * Work alongside experienced providers, including 2 Physicians and 1 Physician Assistant * The facility boasts a collaborative and supportive environment * The General Surgeon will be responsible for performing a variety of general surgical procedures, including skin lesion excisions, gall bladder removal, hernia repair, advanced laparoscopy (including colon resection), endoscopy/colonoscopy, and ideally, breast biopsies * Daily caseload typically ranges from 6-10 cases or 15-18 outpatient visits * Monday through Friday with shared call duties 1:3 * Vascular surgery is not included in this role * Community, not-for-profit, acute care, critical access hospital * Serving the health needs of over 30,000 people and employing over 700 dedicated staff Compensation and benefits: In addition to a market-leading salary, we offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes loan repayment, relocation assistance, a 401k with company match, generous paid time off, continuing medical education opportunities, a complimentary gym membership, and comprehensive, low-cost health/dental/vision insurance options.
