Holy Cross Medical Group (HCMG) has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Sports Medicine Advanced Provider to join our team located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sports Medicine Advanced Provider to join HCMG. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

The Sports Medicine Advanced Provider specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. This role emphasizes non-surgical interventions and holistic patient care, bridging the gap between primary care and surgical intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Evaluation:

    - Diagnose and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, from acute injuries to chronic disorders.

    - Conduct thorough patient examinations, including interpreting diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.

  1. Treatment:

    - Recommend and administer non-surgical treatments including, but not limited to, physical therapy referrals, bracing, joint injections under ultrasound guidance, administration of cutting edge Ortho biologic treatments (stem cells, PRP).

   - Provide pain management advice and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.

  1. Patient Education:

    - Educate patients on their conditions, outlining both surgical and non-surgical treatment options.

    - Advise on injury prevention, ergonomic practices, and exercises to improve mobility and strength.

  1. Consultation and Referral:

    - Collaborate with orthopaedic surgeons to identify cases that might require surgical intervention.

    - Refer patients to other medical specialists when their conditions demand treatments outside the realm of orthopaedics. Refer patients, as appropriate, to Exercise as Medicine or similar programs

  1. Other Duties:

    - Maintain comprehensive, timely, and up-to-date patient records.

    - Participate in team meetings and contribute to the practice's continuous improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have the following:

  • FL licensure
  • DEA license
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Training or extensive experience in non-operative orthopaedics or sports medicine
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • - Experience in outpatient settings, emphasizing non-surgical musculoskeletal care preferred.
  • - Familiarity with musculoskeletal ultrasound or other diagnostic tools.
