Job Summary
Provides social work services for the agency Foster Family Agency. Provide support and guidance to Resource Families in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for children 0-18 who reside in care and for Non-Minor Dependents 19-21 who voluntarily stay in care. Social workers are advocates, provide guidance and direction, and assist with case planning. Conduct on-site visits to the certified homes to ensure safety compliance, implementation of service plan, and maintenance of progress reports on clients. Social workers function as a liaison between all community partners in order to ensure best practices in meeting the desired outcomes of children placed in foster care. Social Worker will ensure that all Resource Families and clients placed in care comply with social service and probation guidelines: as well as State Mandates and agency policies.
Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in social work or social welfare, marriage, family, and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology or social psychology work with approval waiver from CCL. Preference will be given to those who hold an MSW. Therefore, the starting salary is negottiable.

Responsibilities/Duties
· Assist with placement of the child in the approved home
· Develops, reviews and updates quarterly reports for each child on their caseload
· Meets with each foster child and Resource Family weekly
· Assist child(ren) and parents with problems concerning relationships or other aspects of social and emotional functioning
· Develop and update weekly progress notes and case records
· Provides pertinent information to contracting county
· Ensures that the Resource Family has the the support they need to make the children successful
· Supervision of the placement of the child including direct contact with the child and the certified parent(s)
· Facilitate reunification plans/efforts whenever possible
