DI team focuses on facilitating data driven change and creating business value through data and advanced analytics. This is a pivotal role within PSaS’s Data Architecture and Engineering service and will be responsible for data architecture design for key data product development . This role demands a profound expertise in data architecture to analyze, design, and implement complex systems ensuring robust, scalable solutions that support our business goals. Keys Roles & Responsibilities: Data Architecture Expertise: Design and implement robust, scalable, and integrated data environment across the organization Influence projects to make decisions related to data strategies including data quality, data architecture and data management best practices Leverage tools and resources to plan, evaluate and execute strategic initiatives by mapping relational entities to use cases or business requirements and assisting in the development of data products Advanced Data System Design: Architect complex data systems that support scalable integration and optimal functioning of business-critical applications. Employ sophisticated design principles and tools to model data flows and structures that enhance data accessibility and utility Manage creation of data design deliverables including data models, data diagrams, data flows and corresponding data dictionary documentation Innovation in Data Solutions: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in data architecture and engineering. Develop innovative solutions that leverage machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies to transform data handling and analytics. Stakeholder Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that data architectures and strategies comprehensively meet business needs. Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable technical strategies and solutions. Governance and Standards: Implement data governance practices and standards to ensure data integrity and compliance across all data systems and platforms. Lead the evaluation and selection of data management technologies to support data security, quality, and efficiency. Problem Solving and Strategic Input: Tackle complex data-related problems with strategic solutions that contribute to long-term business success. Provide thought leadership in developing strategies that leverage data assets to drive business innovation and competitive advantage. Critical skill requirements: Proven Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise data architecture, including data requirements collection, data architecture analysis, evaluation, documentation, data modeling, design, development, model validation, and data integration in modern data platforms (Eg: Azure, Databricks, Snowflake) Advanced Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a preference for advanced degrees. Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to mentor, and inspire teams, fostering an environment of accountability and innovation. This position operates under consultative direction towards broad corporate goals, requiring a high degree of initiative and independence in achieving project outcomes. Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop strategies that align with long-term objectives. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
