We are looking for a highly motivated mechanical engineer to join the Home product design group. You will be part of a mechanical product design team responsible for conceiving, designing and producing exciting new products. DescriptionWhile contributing to the mechanical design of Apple’s products, you will work closely with many cross-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Thermal, Safety, Packaging, Wireless, EMC, and Operations.Minimum QualificationsBachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering1 or more years of experience in product designExperience developing parts and assemblies in 3-D CADKnowledge of plastic and metal part designKnowledge of design cycle from concept to manufacturingInnovative thinking, high personal motivation, deep engineering capabilityAbility to travel internationally (up to 20%)Preferred QualificationsMasters Degree in an Engineering disciplineExperience in plastic and metal part designExperience with design cycle from concept to manufacturingHigh volume mass production experienceExperience with FEA for mechanical partsExperience in the areas of: GD&T, Tolerance Analysis, Statistical Analysis, Design of ExperimentsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
