Position descriptionSearch for General ID Clinician and Director of General ID Programs, UCSF Health Division of Infectious DiseasesThe Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine invites applications for the following faculty positions:General ID Clinician: We are seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, who possesses extensive expertise in the management of general infectious diseases. The successful candidate will engage in patient care activities across both inpatient and outpatient settings, including inpatient consult services (both teaching and non-teaching) at UCSF Health, as well as the UCSF Health General ID Clinic. Responsibilities will also include active participation in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. The position offers opportunities for engagement in a variety of creative activities, such as clinical research, leadership roles in clinical settings, quality improvement initiatives, and medical education development.Director of General ID Programs: This role is suitable for a candidate at the Associate or Professor level with a robust background in general infectious diseases care and health systems leadership. Specific expertise in orthopedic infectious diseases is preferred. The Director will play a pivotal leadership role within the UCSF Division of Infectious Diseases, managing the daily operations of the general ID inpatient consult services (currently three) at UCSF Health. This individual will collaborate with leaders from primary teams, develop standard operating procedures, address faculty challenges, and spearhead the expansion of the ID inpatient consult service to UCSF St. Mary’s and St. Francis Hospitals.Furthermore, the Director will coordinate closely with the Director of the General ID and HIV clinics to ensure seamless integration of patient care between inpatient and outpatient settings.Support and Development: The faculty will benefit from comprehensive mentorship and robust faculty development programs designed to foster career growth and professional satisfaction.Qualifications:
• Candidates must hold an MD, DO, or MD-PhD degree from an LCME-accredited medical school.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency program accredited by ACGME.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in California.

The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$333,700.
