The Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) is at the center of audio, video and graphics support in Apple’s innovative products, including the HomePod, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and AppleTV. AMT's Audio team provides the audio foundation for various technologies like FaceTime, Camera, AirPlay, Spatial Audio, Siri, Phone Calls and Music playback. DescriptionAs an Audio Software engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and debugging software that supports the audio system for all of Apple’s platforms. This includes building tools and apps that use existing and new audio frameworks. This also includes developing system frameworks to debug real time audio issues and support hardware tuning efforts. The work involves close collaboration with hardware driver teams and various Apple technologies including Siri, AirPods, Camera, FaceTime, Phone calls and AirPlay. Minimum QualificationsExcellent software design/programming skills in Swift, Objective C and/or C/C++Solid understanding of object-oriented methodologies, multi-threaded programming and operating systems conceptsExperience with digital audioStrong debugging skillsPreferred QualificationsBS/MS in CS or EE, Equivalent industry experience.Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
