This high performing team of financial minds works collaboratively to provide an exceptional level of financial support to the organizations business leaders.What you’ll be doing as the Head of Treasury:The Head of Treasury will be a Strategic Senior Leader within finance, overseeing the US treasury function. This role will have 1 direct report.Cash Management:Oversee all treasury operational functions, including daily cash management across multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of funding related tasksEnsure adequate working capital to meet all funding requirements per business needs including: claims payments, supplier obligations, and employee expensesEvaluate opportunities to reduce financial risk in cash collections and disbursements Handles receipt, disbursement, banking, protection and custody of funds, securities, and financial instrumentsPrepares and interprets financial reports representing adequacy of cash position both current and prospective.Manage and sign off on all cash forecasts, presenting the outlook in a global committee setting quarterlyAnalyze financial records to audit prior accounting periodsPreserves company assets and the investment of surplus fundsDevelop process to capture additional investment yield by putting cash to market sooner or holding cash positions longer Maintain positive banking relationshipsManage intercompany loan processesInvestment Operations and Accounting:Develop and oversee relationships with third party vendors responsible for managing both investment funds and accounting processes associatedPartner with investment team to inform the management of our investment portfolioSet short-term investment policiesManage both IFRS and NAIC investment accounting processes; maintain compliance with both standards and the reporting requirementsOversee and sign off on month end activities for the entire Treasury function ensuring completeness and accuracy of financialsResponsible for the state deposit process to ensure compliance with the state regulationsManage investment expense accruals and rechargesOther Tasks:Oversee Carrier Insurance Payment Reporting and funding adhering to Agreement termsDrive standardization, automation, and process improvements across all treasury functionsEnsuring internal controls and process documentations in related areasDevelop relationships with Senior Management across the business including Finance, Corporate Treasury and Operations, collaborating on challenges and potential efficienciesSupport Business Projects relevant to Treasury and provide ad hoc analysis and assistance as neededDesired Skills:Strong technical knowledge in both treasury and investment accountingStrong organizational, critical thinking, and customer service skills with the ability to be flexible and manage competing deadlinesProficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, emphasizing good Excel spreadsheet skills.
