Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned experienced Senior Azure Cloud Architect to spearhead our transition to cloud-native architectures, driving adoption of Azure services and ensuring alignment with organizational standards and strategies. This role requires a visionary leader capable of collaborating with both engineering and operations teams to deliver scalable, cost-effective, and efficient solutions while maintaining high standards for security, governance, and performance.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep technical understanding, a strong grasp of business needs, and the ability to unite diverse teams around a shared architectural vision.
Your responsibilities:
Architecture Design and Development: Re-architect complex systems using cloud-native patterns for scalability and flexibility. Develop modular solutions for growth and changing requirements. Provide architectural frameworks and reference implementations to guide teams. Drive innovation through cloud-native technologies.
Strategic Leadership: Collaborate across teams to identify and implement improvements. Lead Azure adoption with a focus on organizational buy-in and technical enablement. Translate complex business goals into technical requirements and actionable solutions. Define multi-year cloud strategy and roadmaps, balancing innovation and operational stability.
Standards and Governance: Establish and enforce cloud operations standards, including cost optimization, security, and performance. Ensure compliance with governance frameworks. Lead cloud cost optimization and provide actionable recommendations.
Collaboration and Consensus Building: Facilitate alignment on architectural decisions through workshops and discussions. Build consensus among development, operations, security, and business stakeholders.
Technology Evangelism and Training: Stay informed on Azure advancements and emerging trends. Conduct training and create documentation to enhance cloud maturity. Advocate for cloud adoption and a culture of innovation. Mentor teams on DevOps practices for efficient deployments and operational improvements.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with 3+ years specializing in Azure cloud solutions.
- Deep understanding of cloud native architectures and technological transformation.
- Preferred experience with Azure Cloud solutions, architectures and best practices including compute, data, messaging, networking, ingress, security and governance capabilities.
- Understanding of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and modern SDLC practices.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, and security) in complex, large-scale environments.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of aligning diverse perspectives.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior architects and engineers.
- Proven track record of driving efficiencies of scale in cloud environments.
- Deep experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
- Expertise in implementing cost-effective disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Ability to connect technical solutions to business objectives and articulate value in financial terms.
- Experience translating business domain requirements into highly available and efficient cloud architectures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale migrations to Azure, including hybrid and multi-cloud strategies.
- Azure certification preferred.
- Knowledge of domain-driven design and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with security best practices, such as zero trust architecture and policy-based access.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, or Bicep preferred.
