Configuration Manager

The Swift Group is looking for a Configuration Manager that will introduce and implement Configuration Management (CM) processes according to guidelines and support the full lifecycle of the CM Database (CMDB). The mission is to provide quality services that facilitate seamless software development lifecycle and API and Gateway with modern data repository services. This role requires support for planning future architectures, infosec assurance and accreditation, Configuration Management, and System Engineering for legacy and future complex portfolio of data tools. This position is located onsite in Chantilly, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Introduce and implement CM processes according to guidelines.
  • Support the full lifecycle of the CMDB.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings, including developing agendas.
  • Track, monitor, and provide the status of Change Requests (CRs), Discrepancy Reports (DRs), and Requests for Changes (RFCs) in coordination with the IT Operations organization.
  • Provide follow-up coordination and status for action items or issues.
  • Process discrepancy reports, requirements, build reports, investigation reports, request for changes, or operation change requests on a regular cycle.
  • Assist in changes to the CM process, establishing and maintaining both new and existing schedules.
  • Support project teams in defining, documenting, changing, and baselining project configuration items.
  • Ensure overall websites are properly formatted, contain updated information, and have a common look and feel.
  • Serve as the Enterprise Scrum Lead for the organization.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 16+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience with software configuration management documentation (CM Processes, SOPs, CM meeting minutes, and Agendas).
  • Demonstrated experience working with ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence sites, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and creating organization roadmaps for technical projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and creating organization master project schedule(s).
  • Demonstrated experience developing, managing, or operating program governance boards.
  • Demonstrated experience with protocols for access administration and system deployments
  • BA/BS Degree or five years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting problems and documenting discrepancies.
  • Demonstrated experience submitting system status and updates to scheduling, coordinating across organizations for system releases or outages.
  • Demonstrated experience tracking and modifying Configuration Items (CIs), incidents, and work orders using ServiceNow.
