Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President of People and Culture is a strategic leader who will shape and drive Navaide's organizational culture and talent strategies. This individual will ensure that Navaide remains a destination for top talent and a model for inclusive, growth-oriented, and community-driven workplace practices.
Job Summary:
The Senior Vice President of People and Culture provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization's Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Departments. The Senior Vice President is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent/HR management goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
• Design and implement documented strategies for workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, and engagement that support organizational goals.
• Translate workforce and talent strategies into actionable plans and initiatives, ensuring timely execution and measurable results, adjusting as necessary to align with evolving organizational needs and goals.
• Ensure robust succession plans are in place for key leadership roles, fostering long-term organizational stability and leadership continuity.
• Develop and implement leadership training and career development programs to grow internal talent pipelines.
• Build infrastructure and systems to standardize and streamline approaches to workforce and talent management, enabling scalability and sustained success.
• Champion Navaide's core values and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement that aligns with the mission of transformational change.
• Identify and track key performance indicators for human resources and talent management functions to assess organizational success and market competitiveness.
• Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and incentive programs.
• Oversee the administration of HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, performance management, recognition, and occupational health and safety.
• Monitor compliance with employment laws and regulations while staying informed about industry trends and best practices to update policies and ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant.
• Identify and implement HR systems and tools to enhance employee experiences, improve decision-making, and streamline processes such as talent management and performance tracking.
• Provide guidance and leadership to HR and talent acquisition teams, resolving complex HR, compensation, and benefits issues.
• Collaborate with marketing and leadership to position Navaide as an employer of choice, leveraging social media, partnerships, and branding strategies to attract top talent.
• Oversee corporate communications to ensure alignment between internal culture and external messaging, reflecting Navaide's values and mission.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's or law degree highly preferred.
• At least fifteen years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
• SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification required, additional years of experience may be substituted.
Location:
San Diego, CA or Washington, DC metro areas
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
