Maintenance Technician
Description
Summary:
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician performs a variety of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, etc. Work requires in-depth knowledge of various trades: electrical and mechanical more ideal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities the duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician are detailed below, but not limited to the following:
- Service CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Wire EDMs, and misc. production and manual equipment.
- Diagnose and identify problems related to mechanical; electrical; hydraulic; PLC and CNC equipment.
- Repair of problems related to mechanical; electrical; hydraulic; PLC and CNC equipment.
- Implementation and execution of effective preventive/predictive maintenance plans.
- Installation and moving of equipment and IDC infrastructure/work environment.
- Facilities maintenance.
- Facilities housekeeping.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Provide exceptional internal customer service.
- Perform P.M. (preventive Maintenance) on all equipment as scheduled.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow and comprehend both written and verbal instruction/(s).
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with CNC equipment; repair and maintenance - or equivalent.
- Familiarity with general CNC controls.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and electro-mechanical schematics.
- Must be highly competent in utilizing micrometers, calipers, volt meters, and other common shop and maintenance gadgets.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.; at least 40 routinely.
Physical Demands
- Work near moving mechanical parts.
- Handling hazardous waste and materials.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Includes moderate to heavy lifting.
