ITS is currently seeking a Plant HR Manager to oversee employee relations at our Plant City, Florida facility. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with employment laws, promoting positive workplace morale, and supporting recruitment, training, and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Workforce Planning:

    • Participate in hiring processes for salaried and key leadership roles.
    • Drive a structured and inclusive hiring process, ensuring diversity initiatives are prioritized.
    • Monitor and address trends in hourly workforce planning.
  • Employee Relations and Compliance:

    • Act as a trusted advisor for management and employees on policies, performance, discipline, and legal compliance.
    • Conduct training on harassment, workplace violence, and unconscious bias.
    • Promote open communication for complaint resolution and foster positive employee relations.
  • Compensation and Benefits:

    • Support the implementation of effective local compensation programs.
    • Communicate changes in benefits, pensions, and wage structures.
    • Provide training for plant-level resources on compensation and benefits.
  • Talent Development and Succession Planning:

    • Onboard and integrate new managers into their roles.
    • Implement initiatives to enhance plant capabilities and succession planning.
    • Encourage use of Sonoco University for professional development.
  • Union Relations (where applicable):

    • Collaborate with union representatives to administer contracts and resolve grievances with Labor Relations support.
  • Operational and Systems Proficiency:

    • Utilize tools such as KRONOS, SIMON, and Workday for HR activities.
    • Understand and manage processes related to payroll, benefits, and IT requests.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws (e.g., EEOC, FMLA, ADA, COBRA).
  • Ability to build trust with both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Effective multitasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to balance employee advocacy with business needs.

This is an onsite position located at our Plant City, Florida facility.
