THE ROLE

The Brand Manager drives the day-to-day eCommerce business. This includes but is not limited to coordinating cross-functional teams and projects, planning and delivering the monthly campaigns, product launches, driving site functionality improvements and leads weekly/monthly/quarterly client meetings. Bringing along key stakeholders within the organization, client base, product vendors and third-party partners is fundamental to the Brand Manager executing a robust digital strategy. Brand Managers are highly analytical, thoughtful and strategic using data to recommend best practices on site. The Brand Manager is the conductor, orchestrating the digital marketing lead, the buyer/planner, eCommerce coordinators and extended team to drive site traffic and conversion.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Execute best practices on site:

    • Perform site audits to ensure general site health and optimal customer journey.

    • Drive site updates and new functionality to improve KPIs (AOV, CVR, UPT)

    • Define and execute merchandising strategies aligned with brand guidelines and revenue targets

    • Assure all collections and pages have a relevant page title, on-page copy, and meta descriptions

    • Monitor checkout flow ensuring a seamless experience for shoppers

    • Driving homepage and navigation updates to align with current product mix and brand messaging

  • Execute strategies to hit KPIs and grow eCommerce traffic:

    • Own campaign and promotional calendar, adjusting as needed to accommodate product launches, supply chain and market conditions.

    • Have a high-level understanding of digital marketing, collaborating with the marketing manager to identify and explore growth opportunities

    • Analyze product performance, sell-through velocity to plan to inform product replenishment

    • Analyze site KPI’s to understand the performance increases and decreases.

    • Understand previous period performance and market conditions to recommend strategies that consistently exceed client objectives

  • Client communication:

    • Lead client meetings (weekly, biweekly, monthly), prepare meeting decks

    • Key point person on day-to-day execution

  • Works closely with the Digital Director, Digital Marketing Manager, eCommerce Coordinator, Logistics Team, Customer Service Team, Dev Team, Creative Team and Content & Catalog teams

  • Leads and manages the eCommerce Coordinator

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • 3-5 years’ experience within a digital retail environment

  • Demonstrated understanding of retail and eCommerce best practices

  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills, inspires confidence and trust at all professional levels

  • Working knowledge of eCommerce marketing, including best practices in email, social media, affiliate marketing, display, PPC and SEO

  • Knowledge of Project Management and how to effectively drive projects to completion

  • Proficient in web analytics tools (i.e. Omniture, GA, CoreMetrics) and MS Office Suite

  • System knowledge in an e-commerce platform, ideally Shopify

  • Working knowledge of project management tools – Confluence, Jira

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics or related field preferred
