Amazon Freight is building a disruptive transportation product with the vision of redefining shipping for its customers. The goal is to develop easy-to-use, reliable, and transparent transportation services that raise the customer experience bar relative to all existing shipping alternatives. To enable us to succeed in this large endeavor, we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager in the Amazon Freight Less-Than-Truckload (AF LTL) team. The individual will play a critical role in driving Supply Chain projects with a heavy emphasis on utilizing data to make business decisions. They will be tasked with using quantitative approaches such as cost/benefit evaluation, financial analysis, and metric analysis to build roadmap, identify opportunities, stand up initiatives, create mechanisms for operational excellence, and implement action plans through stakeholder collaboration. They may also be asked to directly interface with product stakeholders and create scalable solutions.
Key job responsibilities
Analyze and synthesize large amount of data from different operational sources to identify opportunities for enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency and removing costs.
Define metrics, develop program management mechanisms, and invent/simplify processes to drive decision-making process.
Collaborate with stakeholders across different functions, influencing and facilitating agreements to achieve shared goals.
Influence design and development of strategic processes.
A day in the life
Main areas of ownership include: (1) using multiple data points to identify opportunities for performance improvement or cost saving, (2) building consensus among stakeholders on potential solution, (3) driving and adjusting pilots, and (4) identifying requirements for a scalable solution across Amazon Freight's Less-Than-Truckload network.

AF LTL is a growing business that is continuing to define and redefine expectations to delight our customers. We are constantly looking to improve performance and invent on behalf of our customers. Additionally, we are being viewed as a key partner to lower total inbound cost while improving inventory placement in NACF.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related fields.
- 2+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive process improvements.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables at minimum) and familiarity of SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA in relevant fields.
- Specific experience in driving process improvements in network capacity.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with complex systems.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
