Description

The Part-Time Receptionist assists First Pres Hospitality in ensuring that every person who walks into First Presbyterian Church or calls on the telephone is greeted with a warm welcome and provided accurate and timely information and help in answer to their questions.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years' of clerical and customer service experience.
  • Minimum of one year working in a religious non-profit or Church setting.
Position Requirements:
  • Being a friendly and welcoming presence as individuals enter and exit the building.
  • Supports the congregation as well as visitors by answering questions, listening, or referring them to those who can help.
  • Being up to date on all the day's events as well as those larger events coming up.
  • Manages the acceptance and delivery of packages and mail.
  • Facilitates correspondence, emails, and mailings promptly and professionally.
  • Other duties as requested as applicable to the position or to advance the ministry of First Pres.
