Texas Oncology is looking for a full-time Administrative Assistantto join our team!This position will support the Dallas Sammons location.
Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. What does the position do?
The Admin Assistant, under minimal supervision, provides administrative and staff support services for the department. Handles administrative tasks for projects, programs or processes specific to the operating unit served. Keeps records, statistics and files according to standardized procedures and requirements. Generally is the contact person for information on administrative processes. This is not a secretarial position. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision correctable to 20/20. Requires occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Occasional light travel may be required for inter-clinic coordination within our Plano East Market.

Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support to the clinic and physicians for special projects to include research, compiling data, preparing standard reports.
- Solves routine problems, referring more complex issues to the next level.
- Composes, prepares, and proofreads correspondence, office memos, and reports on the computer; maintaining confidentiality when required. Routinely updates documents to keep up with changes in processes or programs.
- Handles all administrative detail to support programs or processes under the direction of a manager.
- Includes handling requests for information, sending out routine letters and inquiries, answering questions, following up on problems or needed changes.
- Maintains files in an organized and accessible manner to include updating information, purging files on a regular basis, and creating a new filing system as needed.
The ideal candidate for the Admin Assistant position will have the following background and experience:
- Associate's degree in business, office administration, or secretarial program preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of office administration experience.
- Must have strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
