StarCare Specialty Health System seeks to hire an organized, self-starter to fill the role of Administrative Assistant for the Veteran's Service Division (VetStar).
Responsibilities:

Description
StarCare Specialty Health System seeks to hire an organized, self-starter to fill the role of Administrative Assistant for the Veteran's Service Division (VetStar).
Responsibilities:
- Provides general clerical support including copying, faxing, answering phones, answering emails, filing, and other related support duties.
- Completes data entry activities.
- Assists with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
- Schedules and coordinates meetings and trainings.
- Distributes mail and signs for incoming department deliveries.
- Prepares communications and memos.
- Creates and maintains both electronic and physical filing systems.
- Submits work orders.
- Works with outreach staff to coordinate service events and outreach activities.
- Works confidentially with sensitive information and veteran records.
- Presents a positive and professional image.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Veteran Programs Director.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent, with some college preferred.
- A veteran or member of the U.S. Armed Forces (any branch), experience as a veteran caregiver, or have direct work experience with state or federal military and veteran programs, preferred.
- Knowledge and skill in operating standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, etc.) and personal computer with Microsoft computer software is required.
- Successful candidate must have strong organizational and communication skills and the desire to provide compassionate support to veterans.
- Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must have a Texas driver's license and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
