Insight Global is seeking a Business Data Analyst to join one of our top financial clients based in New York City. We are seeking an someone who can contribute to modern data services and solutions. The goal of this role is to help analyze and improve the data side of existing primary markets products; working to identify gaps in data quality and management and provide solutions that will leave the business with more reliable and usable data.. This candidate should understand how back-end data principals, where each data source lies, strategy around data sources, how data is received and moved, and how to create analytics around specific data that will be funneled into this new warehouse. Communication will also be very important as this person will also interact with all different levels within the Capital Markets business, including C-suite and technical teams.
Role requires hybrid on site in either NYC or Jersey City, NJ.

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years' experience as a BDA or Product Owner with emphasis on data centric projects
- Strong experience with SQL and Excel, and supporting efforts around data quality, data lineage and overall improvements around data within platforms and products
- Knowledge of primary and/or secondary capital markets - fixed income, equities, leveraged finance, IPOS and issuance, bond offerings, loan origination etc
- Strong Jira and Confluence
