Business Analyst Intro
The Business Sr. Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows the latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within their job and the business. This role requires excellent communication skills to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to guide and ensure the inclusion of key stakeholders. This position entails a degree of responsibility over technical strategy.
Business Analyst Job Details
The position requires a candidate with general management skills, leadership abilities, and administrative experience, who can manage and lead a variety of activities. This includes building ties with other business teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that data is summarized from across the business to provide critical information to the executive team.
- Partnering directly with various players across decision management groups, analyzing data, and evaluating multiple sources to develop recommendations on high-priority strategic initiatives, including the annual strategic plan.
- Formulating and shepherding cross-franchise initiatives and programs from conception to completion.
- Establishing best practices and principles for the decision management organization globally.
- Understanding the complexities of the department Profit and Loss (P&L); appropriate accruals, client allocations to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Helping provide oversight of the Business Critical Milestone Reporting process and various other executive/client/management reporting processes, ensuring quality, efficiency, and accuracy throughout the reporting.
- Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding its clients, and assets.
Business Analyst Mandatory Skills
- Strong experience in developing and writing business requirements.
- 5 - 8 years prior work experience in financial services related to analytics and/or strategy consulting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team of diverse skill sets.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work within a hybrid work model, with two days onsite.
Business Analyst Desired Skills
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
- Accessible and teamwork-oriented approach.
