Agricultural Analyst
The Agricultural Analyst with specialization in Fertilizer provides analytical support to EB/TPN/AGP Action Officers in the implementation of food security policy that seeks to support global food security programming and to provide increased coordination with USAID on Feed the Future and other food security programs. The analyst will work across many teams and manage our agricultural and fertilizer demand market data and analysis. The ability to work with large data sets, and the ability to explain complex ideas simply and concisely to internal and external stakeholders will be highly important. The Analyst should have a keen eye for detail and will need to enjoy the challenge of collecting data from a diverse range of sources.
NECESSARY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Experience developing project and program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones involving complex programs, systems, or issues of critical importance to the entire organization.
- Experience assessing project progress, conducting briefings, and preparing comprehensive reports with solutions and recommendations for top-level managers and executives.
- Strong attention to detail.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
- One year of specialized experience which included use of quantitative and qualitative techniques for analyzing and evaluating complex mission-oriented programs and projects for an organization.
- Must possess a Secret security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Some travel may be required.
DUTIES
- Provide data analysis on fertilizer production including reviewing agricultural markets and fertilizer demand.
- Provide data analysis on shifting agricultural production and food security including reviewing agricultural markets.
- Supporting AGP in maintaining agricultural production and fertilizer demand models and data consistency.
- Undertaking primary research tasks to develop and improve data presented on fertilizer use globally, agricultural shifts due to climate and/or food security.
- Written analysis within short and long-term market reports. Supporting policy developments through recommendations.
- Collaborating and coordinating with other members to ensure consistency of message.
