Job Description
The Technical Analyst will play a critical role in leveraging data to drive business decisions and optimize organizational processes. This role focuses on developing and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting data analytics across the organization.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders, to design innovative data strategies and improve the performance of data platforms. This position combines strong technical acumen with analytical problem-solving, making it essential for advancing the company’s data-driven initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources using SQL and custom frameworks.
- Design and implement data load strategies that align with functional requirements and best practices.
- Conduct data quality checks and validations, troubleshoot issues, and deliver reliable data solutions.
- Collaborate with data consumers to gather requirements, document specifications, and create effective pipeline solutions.
- Identify and prioritize enhancements to data pipelines and platforms, working with engineering teams to execute improvements.
- Act as a technical advisor to data analysts, providing support for data access and interpretation.
Required Experience/Skills
- 5+ years of experience developing ETL/data pipelines for analytics use cases.
- Advanced SQL skills and strong knowledge of data warehousing principles.
- Proven expertise in working with large datasets and optimizing MPP databases (e.g., Redshift, Hive).
- Proficiency in AWS services, including Redshift, Athena, and other core AWS tools.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark/Python for data engineering tasks.
- Familiarity with clickstream data analysis.
Nice-to-Haves
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance in analytics.
- Experience in agile development environments.
- Awareness of emerging trends in big data and cloud technologies.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
