Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning, advisory, operational, or evaluative work that's principal purpose the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
  • Recommend, evaluate, maintain, operating systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials.
  • Recommend and implement policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
  • Provide security support to the Directorate's controlled facilities to include:
  • Exercising delegated access control to secure areas.
  • Assisting in opening and closing controlled areas.
  • Assisting in arming and disarming facility alarm systems as required.
  • Assisting in accomplishing end-of-duty day security checks.
  • In support of those programs with stringent security requirements, personnel shall be knowledgeable of DoD security procedures, to include classified transmission, protection of incoming mail, courier requirements, security incident reporting, and security violation sanctions.
  • Escorting personnel, visitors, and other parties as needed to complete work duties, subject to local security office or organizational policies.
  • Experience with Security Classification Guide development and implementation is strongly desired.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Technical Experience Required:
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance desired, Secret required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Functionally Aligned Minimum Recommended Education/Experience Requirements: BA/BS, 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 3 years must be in the DoD, or 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 5 year must be in the DoD.
